Cavemen was a electronic music project by Stef van der Poel and Daniel Maalman, which existed for a long time but ended in 2013. Cavemen tend to colour outside the lines by combining different electronic styles into their psychedelic primordial soup.

The Cavemen style could be described as ‘Funghi’: funky psychedelic music. Psychedelic trance, tribal house, techno, electro, dub-ambient, breakbeat, all these influences passed by when they performed live. The only rule was that it had to be groovy and that it should rock. Loungy and sunny sounds were crossbred with heavy basslines and deep kicks, combined with tribal rhythms that would call out to the inner neanderthal.
